About Us

Lincoln Scouts Caving Club came to life in 1983 when members from the local Venture Scout Unit decided that caving as an activity could be better developed if those interested formed a separate caving club.

Today, although we maintain close links to scouting and regularly introduce young people to caving in Derbyshire, we have an active group of 30 + members. We run a busy caving program throughout the year primarily for its members which suits all abilities.

We have monthly day trips caving in Derbyshire and Yorkshire as well as weekend trips to Wales, North Yorkshire and Mendip throughout the year. At least once a year we have a week long international trip. Previous caving trips abroad have included Spain, Sardinia, France, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Mallorca.

We pride ourselves that the training we provide to new members is first class. We also provide any equipment a novice may need .

Training takes place mainly at Altham Terrace where we have two containers to store all gear as well as trees for ladder and SRT training. We also have access to a large climbing wall at another location which we also use for training SRT.

During the summer months we meet every Monday from 6:30pm for training and kit maintenance.

Our Club is located at Altham Terrace near Boultham Park, Lincoln.
