LinSECT is aimed at teenagers aged 14 and above.
Lincoln Caving Club have led youth caving for over 40 years, mostly through the Scout Association, but now independently. Our leaders have been vetted by the British Caving Association's (BCA) safeguarding officer and are DBS checked.
Nope! But you can if you wish.
When you sign your child up to the club, you can register them "loco in parentis", meaning that you are entrusting an assigned leader to assume responsibility of your child whilst undertaking club activities.
Like with all adventurous sports, like mountain biking, canoeing, skiing, climbing etc., there is always a small amount of risk involved.
All of the caving activities and caves which we utilise for caving are risk assessed, with suitable mitigations in place. Our leaders train regularly, our provided PPE is maintained and inspected, and we provide all the training that cavers require.
